These materials are used for parts within oil-filled transformators, some of them for high voltage duty, for machining parts for mechanical engineering purposes,when outfitted with solid lubricants to be used for friction bearings.
Laminated plastics, on the other side, consisting of glass fibre fabrics or heavy roving fabrics as base material as well as of modified epoxy resins, be it as standar materials or as special materials with particular properties like high temperature endurance, high resistance against tracking, specific combustion behaviour according to UL or to DIN EN 45545-2.
